Microstructures and Metallurgy Lab (MM Lab)

The MM Lab is supervised by Prof. Chien-Lung Liang in Department of Materials Science and Engineering at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), Taiwan. Our research group focuses on the microstructures and metallurgy exploration of all kinds of metallic materials. The research is mainly divided into three groups: (1) Novel Electro-treatment of Metallic Materials, (2) Interfacial Reaction and Surface Engineering, and (3) Advanced Electronic Packaging Materials and Technology. The materials include pure metals, commercial alloys, and materials for advanced electronic packaging. We investigate the microstructures of metallic materials via several analyses such as SEM, FIB, TEM, EBSD, EPMA, etc. The aims are to manipulate the properties of metallic materials and to improve the reliability performance of electronic devices.
